Their nervous system is on overdrive and there is a deep feeling of shame that "something is wrong with me".

Modalities such as attachment-focused EMDR, ego-state "parts work" (based on internal family systems), and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy support the nervous system to release old patterns and beliefs. You will connect to your body and process past memories which have reinforced maladaptive coping strageties.
